FAMILY REUNION OF MOORS 2004
ATLANTA GEORGIA

ROUND TABLES
and FEZ BALL

Friday July 16th came
with much excitement of the events
that took place that day. Small
groups of folks meet in the breakfast
area of the hotel some elected to go
to near by restaurants; the breakfast
at the hotel wasn't  that great. It was
well to share morning talk with the
Mo’s. I must say that the Brothers
and Sisters came through in the true
form of unity. Many pitched in to help
out due to the drop off of so called
Moors.
In the beginning over a year ago
when the plan to put into action this
Moorish family reunion which was a
success in just the thought of doing
such a grand thing. Many helping
hands was replaced by jealous
hearts and envies souls due to
some noted fame of many  hard and
selfish less works of Sister Yssis S.
El which she alone had lead the way
in making some daring moves.
What many of you maybe unaware
of is that Sister Yssis S. EL funded
this Family Reunion of Moors project
with her own monies I was told by
close sources that it was in the
access of  $3,000 or more that the
sister put into this.
There were a few donations in
which Sister Yssis received an she
gave tribute to those at the “Giving
Honors” portion of the Grand Fez
Ball. A few so-called heads of
Moorish organizations wanted a
minute at the Mic during the open
form portion of the “Round Tables”.
But not to much surprises these
would-be so called Moorish leader,
heads, Sultan, Generals,
Commanders, etc. Could not even
come up with the funds to attend the
Reunion  when many of them knew
well over a year ago about the cost
of the event. How come the blind
followers of these so-called leaders
didn't’t see fit to put the funds for the
Heads to be in attendance? Lets
see; just a mere $10 a month by
one person would have been more
then enough to pay for the event.
Family Reunion
of  Moors 2004
"Greet & Eat”

The reunion got started in
Moorish style at the Holiday Inn Select hotel
Oak Hurst room is were the registration
was being held. Folks from near and far
were popping in to register one by one and
at times in small groups.
The “Eat” portion of the “Greet & Eat” was
more like a small snack if anything; but all
the same it was very tasty and nicely put
together. Beautiful displays of pictures and
Sister Yssis Saadi El greeted the guest
with warm and heart felt Islam’s. By the way
Sister Yssis was made Sheikess during
the weekend of the reunion by the Grand
Counsel of Governors of the 1928 portion
of the MST of A., as it is very much
deserved. Their were two other Sisters
from that same portion of the MST of A from
Baltimore Temple #19, Sister Imani El,
Secretary and Sister Wilson Bey they were
made Adepts and a much deserved
appointment. In all the reunion got off to a
wonderful start it made the anticipation for
the rest of the weekend that more exciting.
Strangely enough these so called
leaders can't even keep food on their own
tables let along try to governor an
origination/nation built upon Elmer glue and
pop sickle sticks. A couple from California
donated close to $200 to the Reunion even
though at the time they were being met with
some unexpected financial hardship. And
even still that very couple from California felt
the need being so great; they gave in spite of
there own financial problems. For this the
couple did receive honors. As many of you
may not know the Al Moroccan Star News
Paper Chief Editor, Abdulla Bey was a No
Show do to some weak excuse about a
change of venues. Hello!! This well put
together rag  of a newspaper which is filled
with 98.9% of out right lies about Prophet
Drew Ali,  and any thing else they call
Moorish did not give one red cent to the
support of the Reunion and they also knew of
this well over a year ago. I  believe Sister
Yssis S. El husband Chief Minister Ra Saadi
El give grievance to that very fact on several
Moorish group sites message boards. By the
way, the other 1.1% of the 98.9% of lies in the
Al Moroccan Star newspaper as being true
would  have to be the Ad’s I guess. Now it
was mention in an interview with Sister Yssis
Saadi El that the Al Moroccan Star
newspaper did give a one full-page ad for the
Family Reunion event. But to no Justice did
they credited Sister Yssis S. El with a decent
illustration of “Mother Is Calling” It would
appear to be some female creature Cyclops
of a women with horns coming out her head
with Semitic symbols and signs of the
zodiac.
Which would give much confession as to the
true  intent of what the Family Reunion was
about there is nothing Moorish about that
illustration. I’ve seen the logo for “Mother Is
Calling” and it is well within its true meaning.
(Rev.12). As its was mention in the flyer's
and on the web site about the intent of the
Reunion, the funds are to go to the building
for a Moorish Islamic Community Center in
Atlanta and much hopes to its branching out
to other states.
FAMILY DAY COOK-OUT
The Family Cook-Out had a little late start, I guess
to much partying the night before. The cook out
was held out the SandTown Park Pavilion 2. Off of
Campbelltion road. Its looked as if the cook out
was going to be called off due to rain but the good
spirits of the Moors that were their brought the
sunshine in. Their were 2 large grills cooking up
burgers, hot dogs, veggie baked beans and fish,
with many delicious treats to complement the meal.

The CD’s was playing oldies but goody tunes
while some Moors took on a competitive card
game of spades. Its was a true delight to hear the
laughter that followed the jokes about the so called
wannabe Moors. I must say that I was some what
apprehensive about the turn out, but much to my
delight it was very well received and it appeared
that all who attended had a wonderful time. Much
thanks to Sister Yssis Saadi El and those who
stood by her in time of need; she is truly a
Moabitess. Peace

MOTHER IS
CALLING

And the funniest part to all of this is that not one
can claim having made some great difference as
a whole or individual in uplifting fallen humanity.
Everyone that I came across that went against
what Prophet Drew Ali put in place was meet with
bullets, bombs and hand grenades. So in true my
intent for the reunion Hasn't’ change that much as
far as real Moors coming together as family. And
the most wonderful thing out of all of this is that I
know my God, I know my Prophet and I’m a
member of the Moorish Science Temple and the
Moorish Divine National Movement and that I’m
now married to a true Moorish American Moslem.
And the real cool thing about me being a producer
of PeopleTV channel 24 in Atlanta is that I'm going
to expose all the fakes Moors around the country
and they are welcome to come on TV and defend
their position”

S.M  “Was their anyone that kept their word to you
as so many promised to assist you with the Family
Reunion over a year ago?”

Yssis (a pause) “I would one person and that is
Brother De Angelo Brown Bey, I knew this Brother
back a few years ago when I was caught up in
naught and all this madness. And when ever I
needed help he was there. I must say he dose
have a beautiful supportive wife who would always
greet me with a friendly smile and that plays a big
part of him being the person he is.

S.M  “Do you see doing another reunion?”

Yssis  (laughing hard)" If I do it would be for true
card carrying  Moorish American Moslem".

S.M “I thank you so much Sheikess  for taking with
me. I look forward to other works you have coming
up."

Yssis “Thank you, and I hope I was able to give
some light to the darkness I came out of. Peace to
you and continue the great job your doing sister."

S.M “Before we end how is it really being married
to the Chief Minister and what about the roamers
of you being married to
Bro. Sharif A. Bey?”

Yssis “ Wow…. It’s like actually having your wish
come true. Many may not believe that Ra El  is a
very gentle man who would kill and die for his faith
and he has a huge sense of humor he keeps me
laughing. And there is not one morning that we
would leave form each other without say our
prayers together. It’s a feeling of being complete.
He is my center. And as for the rumorers, let me
put a end to this foolishness. I thought I made
myself clear on my message board. But in short I
was never married to the Bro. Shief, our
relationship ended due to no ones business. And
how many relationship these strange one who are
carry these rumors been in before they found their
true love, and plus way is these folks all up in my
mix. You know that gets me why is it that when
someone steps up to do something truly positive
these devils came out with their guns blazing. I'm
not going to comment any further about that before
I lose my peace. All that is the past and I'm in this
moment moving into the future with my Only True
Love, Allah, My Prophet Ali and My Husband.
I am complete.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
WITH
YSSIS SAADI EL
By Sis. Mohammed  El
It was much to my delight and honor that
Yssis was able to grant some time from a very
demanding schedule to do this interview. The
interview took place at a near by park down
from the hotel. While sitting on the swings
Sister Yssis took in a deep breath as if the
weight of the world was sitting on her shoulder.
Before I started with the interview she asked for
a minute of mediation.

(S.M) “First I would like to start by saying you
have out done your self once again.”

Yssis “Islam, only with the help of Allah and
those who have been true and faithful”

S.M “What was the key factor in you wanting to
put together the Family Reunion of Moors”

Yssis (she laughs) “Temporary insanity, No;…
I was in a different place at the time when I
step out to do this reunion. I was in search of
the truth about anything Moorish. And to much
disappointment I either found myself more
confused, because lies can do that to you and
absent of funds with nothing to show for it. But
in all I just wanted to see Brother and Sisters of
like minds come together as one.”

S.M “At what point in time did you see it was
not going the way you wanted it to”

Yssis “I guess when I started to ask lots of
questions and no one was giving me answers;
at least truthful ones. Things got kind of weird
when I made a clear conscious decision to join
the Moorish Science Temple of America. You
would not believe all the back stabbing that I
encounter from those whom I thought were my
friends. It was like watching sugar turn to shit.
But its was something my daughter said to me,
"that those who said they was with you never
really was."
It was a hard pill to swallow, but I did. And even
now I can not figure out how can anyone
excuse, push back and completely disregard
what Our Savior Prophet Drew Ali gave back to
us and still claim them selves as being a
Moorish American. They read with no
understanding at all. I use to say to my
husband ; that you should not be so hard on
some of these so called Moors. But now I see
why he is the way he is. There are so many
stupid people that truly feel as though they
have all the answers to what is Moorish. These
strangely mixed ones will read and except the
Europeans lies but when a true Moorish
American Moslem is able to show without
contradiction the truth the whole truth and
nothing but the truth about what Prophet Drew
Ali gave back not us they will run and hide and
won't step up because it would shut down all
their dirty dealings they have been feeding
ones who  really want the truth.   I’Ive told
countless of Brother and Sisters about my
travels with wannabe Moors and upon me
searching for the truth and when I would share
with them that I been their and done that,  it
would go in one ear and out their back side. If
its not dealing with Right to Road Travel,
International driving  quoting the Europeans
laws, they didn't’ want to ear anything else, but
if its about getting over their all ears.

The Moorish Science Temple of
America 1928 portion
gave
honor and tribute to there own
in Academy Award style. Several
in that portion received
beautiful plaques as a show of
their being true and faithful
Moorish American Moslems.
I personally I’m looking forward to seeing
this mighty visions come into fruition. The
“Round Tables” as I was inform was a catch
phrase it was a stadium seating format were
discussions of varies topic’s made there way
to the stage it was in a separate room from the
Fez Ball. Most of what was on the minds that all
attend the “Round Table” needed to hear the
truth about Nationality.
Who is Moorish and the history of the Moorish
Science Temple of America. Its was well that
different Brother and Sisters step up to the Mic
to give light on those very issues. So after the
“Round Table” was over their was a rest period
then followed Friday Holy Day Services hosted
by Temple #5 Governing head Gov. Mahdi
Shabazz El.
I must say it was a most powerful
demonstration that set the mood in wonderful
spirits for the entire evening. Sister Yssis
Saadi El was a most beautiful hostess in true
royal Moorish style. The evening was full of
events; there was a powerful Marshal Arts
demonstration from  Sifu Walker top students.
They demonstrated varies form of the craft
while giving a brief history of its origin. The
soulful sounds of the musical band  “Common
Ground” made the Fez Ball come alive, it would
be well to pick up their latests CD. There were
words of recognition given to Sister Yssis
Saadi El by several Moors for a job well done.
Several awards were well done. Several
awards were given given out to those in
deserving. The evening ended with a Chicago
style stepping performance by Chief Minister
Ra Saadi El and his newly wife Yssis Saadi El.
Chief Minister Ra El made stepping look so
effortless. Its was wonderful so see all the Its
Moors so beautifully decked out in royal
Moorish fashion and having a
great time.
Recognition was given to Sister Yssis
Saadi El by several Moors for a job well done.

deserving.
